SIMPLE TACO SALAD:


- Cook either your lean ground beef OR ground turkey.  Drain the fat, of course!

- Season the meat to taste using your own seasoning.  Why?  Almost all prepacked seasoning is going to be loaded with preservatives.   I like chili flakes or chili powder, paprika...

- Puree some veggies (carrots? peppers? celery? black beans?) and you can sneak them into your meat, too. 

- Pile your deliciously seasoned meat and veggies onto a crispy bed of lettuce and add your toppings.  Garnish with (if possible) baked or multi-grain tortilla chips and top with salsa and sour cream.  If you're looking for a healthy substitute for sour cream, give plain greek yogurt a try!
