A friend shared this recipe for healthy Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream with me on Saturday - I made it on Sunday! My husband Jim and I thought it was delicious. Enjoy!

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 cup vanilla soy, hemp or almond milk
1 tablespoon natural non-alkalized cocoa powder
4 dates, pitted
1 1/2 cups frozen dark sweet cherries
Instructions:
Easy! Blend all ingredients together in a high-powered blender OR food
processor until smooth and creamy.
If using a regular blender, add
half the cherries first, then blend until smooth. Add remaining cherries and
blend again until smooth.

You can also use berries or banana instead
of cherries! Freeze ripe bananas at least 24 hours in advance. What the best way to freeze bananas? First, allow to ripen until they are speckled and at their sweetest point. Peel them, cut into 1-inch slices, and finally cover tightly in plastic wrap or put in plastic baggies.
